Mike's Top Twenty Favorite Transformers Toys!

It's time for another list! These are my top twenty personal FAVORITE Transformers toys of all time! Whether they're here because of sentimental value or because they're marvels of engineering, these twenty have a special place in my toy-collecting heart!

A couple rules-

#1. Third-party stuff is disqualified. Only toys officially created/released by Hasbro/Takara.

#2. If multiple toys have been sold in the same package and can be grouped in some way, they can count as one entry, although I may bend this rule a little...

Mike's Favorite TF Comic Covers! (Dreamwave/Devil's Due Edition)

I did my Top 25 Favorite IDW Transformers comic covers, and now I'll do my top 10 favorite covers from the Dreamwave/Devil's Due era of the franchise!  (Plus a "0" entry of course, for worst cover!)

This was... harder than expected. Dreamwave was known for their deluge of alternate covers, but looking through all of them, I was struck by how... SAME-Y they were. I guess you have to blame that pesky "House Style" that Superstar Funana Transman Lee mandated for artists. I also added in Devil's Due's G.I.Joe/Transformers comics in my review because when else are they gonna get in?

Again, I'll repeat the rules from last time; these aren't ranked by preference, simply listed in reverse order of release, and my opinion is based on the cover itself, with the actual contents of the issue not really being considered in a huge way.

I'm sure many of us can admit to buying up as many covers from this era of Transformers comics as we could- I certainly can. And I probably regret it a bit now, but I'll still cop to it! Anyway, here we go!

Mike's Favorite TF Comic Covers! (IDW Edition)

Time for another list for people who like lists!  These are my top TWENTY-FIVE favorite comic covers put out by IDW (thus far).  I've looked at EVERY cover to EVERY TF comic IDW has ever put out, and picked out my top twenty-five favorites.

Two things before I start. One, these won't be in any preferred order, but rather in backwards order of when they were released. I decided there wasn't a whole lot of point in trying to rank them further beyond deciding that these twenty-five were the tops.

And two, and I feel like I shouldn't have to say this, but this list doesn't necessarily reflect my thoughts on the actual CONTENT of the comics. A lousy comic book can still have an awesome cover, and vice-versa. These are my favorite covers based on the image itself and what it makes me think and feel.  So let's go!

Justin's Top Ten Star Trek: TNG Episodes Part 3

You may have noticed many fan favorites missing from my top ten list. Relics, Best of Both Worlds, The Inner Light, Yesterday's Enterprise, Sarek. These are all great episodes. For Best of Both Worlds i think i've simply seen it too many times. Before part 2 aired i watched and rewatched part 1. Unless you lived through that summer it's hard to describe. There was so much anticipation for part 2. We didn't know how things were gonna play out. Over the years i've watched both parts during rewatch sessions and marathons, primarily the WPIX 4th of July marathons. Same with Yesterday's Enterprise. Great episode but i've watched it to death.

So those episodes are my honorable mentions. And, in keeping with my Original Series top ten list here are some episodes that i think are absolute stinkers.

Justin's Top Ten Star Trek: TNG Episodes Part 2

5. Frame of Mind

When something is described as a 'mind fuck' this is the first thing i think of. Is Riker losing his mind? Is he trapped in a mental construct of the play he is preparing for? Is he in an alien hospital? I always thought this episode could have allowed for a followup story where Troi counsels Will through the psychological trauma he has endured over his career, with the events of this episode as the center.
